The 2021 Mahindra Scorpio has been seen off-roading for the first time in the Sand dunes of Rajasthan indicating it will be equipped with 4×4 option, Expected to launch in Early 2022.
The Mahindra Scorpio was being offered with the option of 4WD since from the day it was launched in its top trim but it was axed when the current-gen SUV was updated to meet the stricter BS6 emission norms.
The Mahindra Scorpio has been spotted testing several times but always under heavy camouflage leaving us to know only minute of details. What we can say so far about the design is that it still carries the same traditional boxy silhouette but looks more balanced and fresh than the present scorpio.
The Latest Spyshots of the internet suggests that it will get modern and upmarket interiors than the outgoing Mahindra Scorpio. Will get bigger touchscreen infotainment system with new connectivity options, flat-bottom steering wheel, cruise control, steering mounted controls, repositioned A/C vents, Sunroof (not panoramic) and revised centre console.

Mahindra is likely offer the new Scorpio with the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines seen in the all new Thar, but with higher output figures. In the Thar, the petrol unit offers 150PS of power and 320Nm of Torque whereas the diesel engine produces 130PS of power and 300Nm of torque. Both engines would be offered with the choice of 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. 4×4 option is likely to be exclusive to top-of-the-line Variants.
