All-new Maruti Suzuki Swift spotted resting. 40 kmpl Hybrid Engine coming?

The global debut of the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift in its concept form took place at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. Just a few days after this unveiling, the vehicle was spotted undergoing testing in India for the very first time.

Leaked images of the camouflaged prototype offer a glimpse of the new Swift’s design. The car features a fresh grille design, sweptback headlamps equipped with L-shaped LED daytime running lights, and a distinctive clamshell bonnet.

While the rear of the car resembles the outgoing model, it boasts angular tail lamps and a dual-tone bumper. Inside the cabin, the new Swift showcases a layered dashboard design with a central floating touchscreen head unit, a 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, and an updated HVAC module.

Reports suggest that the upcoming Swift will be the debut model to incorporate Suzuki’s cutting-edge Z-Series engine. This powerplant is rumored to be a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated 3-cylinder unit, set to replace the current 4-cylinder K-Series engine.
