The sudden surge of the Covid-19 cases in India has put the overall progress of the Indian automotive industry on another slowdown. The overall bike sales dropped in April 2021, and correspondingly, scooter sales also saw a sharp wane.

The Honda Activa continues to remain the best-seller even for April 2021, nearly 1,09,678 units sold in April 2021.

The second top-seller happens to be the Suzuki Access 125 with 53,285 units being sold in previous month. Formerly, Suzuki managed to sell 48,672 units of Access 125 in March 2021. The Suzuki Access is one of the few scooters that observed an increase in sales number in the previous month, whereas the sales of majority of other scooters witnessed a decline due to the pandemic.

At the third spot, TVS sold 25,570 units of Jupiter scooters in April 2021 as against 57,206 scooter units sold in March 2021. Meanwhile, At the fourth and fifth position the TVS Ntorq and Hero Pleasure+ makes their way at 19,959 units and 18,298 units, respectively.

The Honda Dio positions itself at the sixth spot with 17,269 units sold in April 2021. At the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth position the Hero Destini 125, Suzuki Burgman Street, TVS Scooty Pep+ and Yamaha RayZR scooters make their way with 9121, 8154, 8143 and 7512 units sold in April 2021.
