Kia recalls 4350 units of seltos CVT due to manufacturing defect

Kia Seltos CVT recalled in India; around 4,350 units affected

The Kia Seltos is currently under recall in India due to an issue with the electronic oil pump controller. This recall affects approximately 4,358 units of the Seltos equipped with a CVT, manufactured between February 28 and July 13, 2023. Kia has identified a potential error in the electronic oil pump controller that could impact the vehicle’s performance.

The carmaker intends to notify owners of the affected vehicles about the recall, and customers will have the option to replace the affected part free of charge at their nearest authorized service station. The Seltos IVT model comes with a 1.5-liter petrol engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and is also available with 1.5-liter turbo-petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines.
