New Maruti Suzuki Swift will launch by early 2024.
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift will come with a host of updates and improvements both on the inside and outside. The design will feature evolutionary changes, with a wider stance and redesigned elements. The front fascia will showcase a swooping bonnet structure, new headlamps, a more prominent grille with hexagonal inserts, and a sharper-looking bumper with a wider air intake. The rear will see a redesigned tailgate, new tail lamps, and an integrated spoiler.
Inside the car, the new Swift is expected to offer a range of features similar to the Fronx and Baleno models. It may include a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system for enhanced connectivity and entertainment options.
One of the major highlights of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will be its all-new 1.2L three-cylinder strong hybrid petrol engine, codenamed Z12E. This engine will be locally produced to ensure competitive pricing. Additionally, the possibility of offering the regular 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 1.0L BoosterJet three-cylinder turbo petrol engine cannot be ruled out.
With the introduction of the hybrid powertrain, the new Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to deliver exceptional fuel efficiency. It is estimated to achieve a claimed mileage of 35 to 40 kmpl, making it one of the most efficient cars in the country.
Following the launch of the new Swift, Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce an all-new Dzire compact sedan. This move is in response to the upcoming major update of its rival, the Honda Amaze, in 2024. The launch of the next-generation Swift and the subsequent release of the Dzire compact sedan indicate Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to continuously upgrading and expanding its popular vehicle lineup.
