Renault Duster 7-seater spotted during TVC Shoot


The 7-seater version of Renault duster has been spotted completely undisguised during an TVC shoot in Canary island. The crossover is likely to make it’s European debut soon.


Looking at the TVC Unit one can notice dual-tone alloy wheels, chromed studded front grille, silver rearview mirror caps, Black B-pillar, body-coloured door handles, roof rails, edgy headlamps with integrated LED Daytime Running Lights and faux side skirts.

In contrast to 5-seater variant, the visual changes are quite minimal but the rear portion of the car appears to be a bit longer in order to liberate the space for third-row passenger. The 7-seater is duster is being globally codenamed as RJI and is slated to be debut next month in European Markets.

If the reports are to be believed, the Grand Duster is expected to be offered with optional LED lighting kit, New touchscreen infotainment system (With Apple Car play and Android Auto connectivity).

At present, the Duster is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 106 PS of max power and 142 nm mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Also, a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine produces 156 PS of  max power and 254 Nm of peak torque making it the most powerful mid-size SUV in the segment. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT automatic gearbox.

While there is no official announcement regarding the India launch of 7-seater Duster but gazing at the current demand for 7-seater crossovers in India, we can expect the Grand Duster to hit Indian shores, making it direct rival of Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, XUV500 and MG Hector Plus.
