Exteriors and Design
Like the other EV’s even the Tesla Model 3 flashes it’s quirky yet appealing design ques with no grille at front. The Model 3 follows curvaceous design route rather than being sharp and edgy like it’s elder sibling, Model 3. No matter the Model 3’s design maybe someone’s taste or not but it will grab eyeballs for sure.
The Test mule is running on the standard 18-inch wheels with aero kit and are garbed with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s performance tyres. The Car on test also bores ‘Dual Motor‘ badge meaning that it has a motor on each axle for an electric AWD setup. However, this AWD variant is unlikely to make at Indian Shores.
Globally, the Model 3 is available with four battery options – 52, 62, 75 and 82 kWh and the EPA Driving range ranges between 354-568 Kms depending upon the variant one selects. 0-100 timing figure ranges between 4-6 seconds for the standard variant whereas the performance variant does that in over 3 seconds. The RHD (Right Hand Drive) units which will be coming to India will be manufactured in China plant. However, The Tesla Model 3 will hit Indian shores by 2021 end as CBU unit rather than CKD meaning that the prices are going to elevate a little high.
